NB.
Rehearsals do not take place between Christmas and New Year
or during August.

Directions
A12 (North) to Rowhedge
Take the
first turn-off for Colchester (sign posted A120 for Harwich).
First turning on the roundabout (I think) past the BMW garage
on the left. Follow this road past more garages, traffic lights
and then straight over at the roundabout (this is Ipswich
Road). Watch out for a speed camera and a few padestrian crossings.
At the double roundabout at the end you need to go straight
ahead of you which I think means left on the first roundabout
and second exit on the second. They are really close together
but you are heading absolutely straight across (i.e. not Clacton).
At the end (not far) yet another mini roundabout, turn right.
Go over the river and then at the next mini roundabout turn
left (Brook Street). Go up the hill and straight over at the
traffic lights (Wimpole Road).
Then for
Rowhedge….
At the next traffic lights turn left. This road will then
head back out of town towards Rowhedge. After quite a while
(down hill and up again) there is a zebra crossing followed
by a mini roundabout again, go straight over. Then straight
over again at the next mini roundabout. About 500 yards up
on the left (straight after pub) there is a turning towards
Rowhedge Wharf (I think), there is a turning anyway. Take
this (If you miss it it doesn't matter you can carry on and
then turn left a couple of miles on). Go down this road for
about a mile. You will come back into a 30 limit. Follow the
road round the left hand bend and then take the first turning
on the right. Follow this up the hill a bit and the village
hall is signposted on the left.
Directions
A12 (South) to Rowhedge
The easiest
way is not necessarily the shortest but this will be easier
for you to follow.
Take the
turning from the A12 sign-posted for Stanway and the Zoo.
At the roundabout at the top of this sliproad, turn right
on to dual carriageway. At the end, go straight across the
roundabout heading for the town centre. Stay on this road
(beware of the speed camera). Go straight across any mini
roundabouts and then again at a set of traffic lights. There
is then a traffic island/roundabout at which you need to turn
right towards the town centre, this is Lexden Road (stick
with the residential looking area on the right side of the
Crown pub). Around a mile later, go straight across the roundabout
and take the middle lane. Then stay in this lane (dual carriage
way – becomes the left-hand lane). You will pass two
sets of traffic lights and then approach another roundabout.
Again, from the middle lane go straight across and then follow
the arrows on the road for Fingringhoe (filtering right),
this is Military Road. Follow this road to a crossroads with
traffic lights. Go straight ahead.
Then for
Rowhedge….
This road will then head back out of town towards Rowhedge.
After quite a while (down hill and up again) there is a zebra
crossing followed by a mini roundabout again, go straight
over. Then straight over again at the next mini roundabout.
About 500 yards up on the left (straight after pub) there
is a turning towards Rowhedge Wharf. Take this (If you miss
it it doesn't matter you can carry on and then turn left a
couple of miles on). Go down this road for about a mile. You
will come back into a 30 mph speed limit. Follow the road
round the left hand bend and then a sharp bend to the right.
Follow on up the hill a bit and the village hall is signposted
on the left after the school.
